Gone to the Dogs

There are clothes for him and clothes for her (and, as Lola would say, clothes for those who have yet to make up their minds), but what about clothes for the REST of the family? The paws and claws set, as it were? As the dog person around this joint, I’ll start with the canines, but in order to keep Samantha from shish kebabing me, you can expect a feline entry soon.

In spite of the tempting name, Gothic Dog offers a couple of cute charms (pictured), but their selection of sweaters includes nearly every color EXCEPT  black, and the beds tend to pink with bows. Plus, they offer matching people scarves for the sweaters- egads!

Wooflink dog clothing, on the other hand, offers an array of goth/ punk options, but all are pretty far into Mallgoth territory- this is definitely Hot Topic for dogs.

And then, there’s Little Lily. Little Lily made her name by designing dog clothes based on red carpet dresses- note the Oscar de la Renta, below. Now she’s expanded Red Carpet Collection with her Emmy Collection and produced lines for Hello Kitty and Paris Hilton to boot.

And did I mention that the folks at TIGI Bed Head now make Pet Head, salon grooming products with catchy names like “Life’s an Itch” and “Fears for Tears”?

I thought dog strollers were the end of civilization, but this beats it.

Fortunately, cats have no need to be degraded in this manner.

I think that the $5 would be ok as a tip. I mean if she owns her own business she probably does well, but even if she is just working for a company or for someone else I’m assuming she gets, at least, minimum wage. Which in that case, any tip, in all honesty, would probably be welcomed, weather its your usual tip of $8 or a little less than your normal at $5. I think that she is probably grateful because I know a girl who would get her dogs groomed, (BOTH Pomeranians actually) and she didn’t tip at all, so you seem to be a very good customer. :-)
