You remember Doc Marten’s, right? There is probably even a pair or two still mouldering in your closet from back when you HADTO-HADTO-HADTO have them (at least if you are old enough to have gotten yours while they were, like The Tick, Nigh Invulnerable).

Docs have fallen by the wayside these days, but a few years back they asked a group of designers to re-interperet the classic “1460 work boot” (aka the 8 eye). A lot of terrible things happened involving lace, flowers, and even a goldfish. But also some cool designs. The exhibition toured a bit, then vanished, but Doc Marten has been kind enough to leave the whole gallery up online.

   I agree with Angel bones – I am desperately searching for a pair of 14 hole cherry docs.

   However, after seeing this I may have to go with the corset instead..
