Waxing Gibbous
Portland, Oregon’s Gibbous Fashions is a collective of four designers with the same idea- renovating vintage and discarded clothing and found bits and bobs in remarkable ways. Each garment is made one-by-one, and Gibbous uses no patterns. Instead, the pieces are assembled “like a puzzle”, and each creation is unique. Deeply layered and lavishly adorned, somewhere between Steampunk and cirque, Gibbous makes both men’s and women’s fashions that would seem at home in any twisted fairy tale.

Gibbous are my favorite designers, hands down ever. I met one of the creators in a little shop in Portland a few years ago and she asked me to model for her. I am still kicking myself DAILY that I didn’t follow through with that.
These clothes are so exquisite in person. Simply divine.
