Jump
Inspired by Zoe’s recent 4-Point Fashion Assault mention of her Brash ankle boots by Jump, I thought we’d dig a little deeper into how awesome Jump shoes actually are. I have two pairs of the Shangai boots, because I love them so much. Not to be confused with Steve Madden’s athletic Jump line, which is comprised of white sneakers with Asian symbols, Jump shoes was first introduced in the mid-1970s in Asia to the youth market. Since then, they have thankfully expanded to international distribution, keeping the kids happy.

I’ve had my eye on the Sparky and Secret boots above for some time now. Most of the shoes are also available in brown, for you Steam Punkers, and some in silver, for you Futurenauts.

I adore the Sparky and Secret boots. I must have them, or get someone else to buy them for me. Or I could, you know, get a job.
But I’d much rather get a pair for my birthday. Or sell a beloved family heirloom, I’m not too fussed.

Woah … I want those carnival ones …
But they don’t seem to sell shoes for large men’s feet :/

I love JUMP boots! I have a pair of the Stark (shorter version of Sparky) and they are SO. FREAKING. COMFY. When I got a retail job again, they were the only shoes I have that are comfortable for standing in eight hours a day.

I bought six pairs of Jumps in three weeks recently: two Starks (black and black/charcoal), two Bjorks (black patent and purple), a Secret (black–the purple is sold out in my size, waaah), and the Muse spectator pumps. I wore a pair of the Starks under a huge bustle gown at the Vampires Ball in Portland this past weekend; they looked great even with that kind of outfit, and more importantly they were *incredibly* comfortable for an event where I was on my feet for about seven hours.
For those worrying about the price: Look on Amazon. The sales can be hit and miss depending on your size, but if you do fit the sizes available they’re a hell of a score.

@Ice Princess – Amazon is so weird with their pricing on those, but sadly, not all styles are listed. I tried to find the better deal on either site when looking for them for this post! Last Christmas I lucked out and got the Shangais for something like $20 a pair. It was awesome.

I’m never comfortable spening a whole lot on just one article of clothing, but I think I may have to in order to add a pair of those Jump Brash boots to my wardrobe. The more reasonably priced Bama pump is calling my name almost as loudly, too…
