Reem Alasadi

Reem Alasadi managed to blow our collective minds with her first two collections, using salvaged materials to construct them.  A Beautiful Agony and Charlie Says were put together with shredded and tea-stained antique fabrics and textiles, sheepskins, rabbit fur, feathers, beads, sequins and doll heads were combined to manifest a post-apocalyptic Lolita dream.  Her bustle-style skirts, waist coasts, frocks and corsets have left me wanting more.

Reem’s newest designs hit the runways of Tokyo’s fashion week a few months back with, showcasing her AW09’s “Bubble and Squeak” line, fused with glam-rock, 80’s punk, and vintage glamour. The collection bit more fushia than her usual monochrome and muted shades, but we’ll find a happy medium here with some plum.

  1. I want one of those hats from the tokyo show, they’re completely awsome. I love the last yellow dress on the list for that one too. It’d be better in black tho, of course.
