recycled fashion rubber bicycle tire bag

I have no idea what is going on here. It appears to be outfits made of recycled bicycle tires.  This is an add for bandaderodadura.com,  a company out of Barcelona which sells the bags in the photos. I’m a sucker for recycled rubber and androgynous models, and the bags aren’t so bad either.

holy presta tubes batman!!! that’s totally amazing! i don’t care what they’re selling, i’m buying!

a while back i started wearing a belt made by these people: http://www.englishretreads.com/

it’s not too fancy, it’s got some rivets in it to hold it together. it’s made of recycled tubes too, car and bike tire. i wore my first one out on tour and they replaced it for free, and apparently added metal eyelets to the belt holes so they don’t rip. it’s a good belt! just don’t sit on white sofas with it on…

    loving this.
the rubber would probably get a bit sweaty but it’s a worthwhile look.

anyone notice the long horizontal scar on the model’s abdomen? or is that some of the dirt they put on her getting into a fold of skin? either way, it’s pretty cool.

I think it’s just dirt- notice how in the “cat woman” pose it’s doing the same thing by her elbow.

I bought an outfit made by Gearbolt Clothing a few years ago that’s made out of old tires. I’ve worn it quite a bit but it’s in great shape and people really want to know where I got it – not the most comfortable thing to wear, but hey, fashion before comfort!

I’ve been doing it for nearly a decade (used to do all this fetishy goth stuff but, you know, I got old) but rarely get as much love as the other guys. Perhaps that’s because Zuss is very awesome! And English Retreads, too! Both great suggestions for recycled rubber. :)

There used to be this awesome woman in Texas who made some kickass stuff called Sacred Heart, I think. And Vampire Technology used to make stuff a million years ago but I haven’t heard anything from them in a long while. And, one can’t neglect Eirik Aswang (I’m sure you glorious style mavens already know all about him) who makes some of the most amazing, drool-worthy stuff out of rubber I’ve ever seen. When I grow up, I want to make clothing like Eirik’s.
