New York Fashion Week : Odyn Vovk

New York Fashion Week has kicked off, and thankfully, we had a secret sniper planted right smack in the middle of it. Steve Prue sent over these images last night of the Odyn Vovk show, and it lived up to all of my expectations. The collection is comprised of angular cuts, exaggerated collars, leather, and everyone’s favorite shades of monochrome.

Derrick Cruz of Black Sheep and Progidal Sons collaborated with Odyn Vovk for this show. He created a line of accessories titled “Theft of Light” ~ “conceptually situated at the crossroads of Native American Mythology and an urban outsider instinct, it introduces large and bold looks, re-purposed traditions and creatively up-cycled materials.” You can view the entire collection here: http://www.blacksheepandprodigalsons.com/

The cohesiveness between the accessories and the clothing was absolutely perfect. This collection has always been compared to RO, but I think now, more then ever, it is stepping away and finding its own ground. This was a great display of who Austin really is and actually had some fun with it! Kudos.
