It Bears Repeating
I swear I posted pics from this before, but I looked all over the site and couldn’t find them. I’m not surprised- I just realized that some time in the last couple of weeks we passed the 1000 post mark!
So, (possibly again), these were shot by Craig McDean for Vogue Italia back in 2009.
plenty more after the jump.

Tattered fishnet stockings worn on the arms—ahh, how it’s takin’ me back; takin’ me back!
& that corset hat? Even if in actuality it’s a “corset in drag” (i.e., jimmy-rigged for the sake of the editorial)? THAT. That’s still the way it’s done, kiddos… (if you’ve ever seen the heinous Hot Topic take on the concept, I’ve no doubt you understand why I’m so emphatic about this matter.)
The gorgeous tattered little death dolls immediately following the ‘jump’ also induce some Awe. The face-beating that one on the right endured?
:: LOVE IT ::

It is all very beautiful, but I wish blogs would post where all the clothing is from as well as photographer/magazine when posting editorial shoots.

I love the seethrough corset on the third image down. What a great photo shoot.

@Liane Yeah, feel the same, but with your average haute goth shoot just the accessory list would take up half a page.
Also: only on the third viewing did I realise that they made a tophat out of a corset. It is essentially a steampunk’s wet dream. I can’t stop laughing because it’s just so freaking awesome.

Greetings from Ohio! I’m bored to tears at work so I decided to browse your site on my iphone during lunch break. I really like the information you present here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home. I’m surprised at how fast your blog loaded on my cell phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyhow, awesome site!
