(except a 1911 style pistol can’t fire by landing on the magazine… it’s actually what will jam it because the next bullet will not chamber correctly due to movement of the magazine, and is most frequently a reason for jamming if the rounds are otherwise chambering fine and the gun is clean and in working order. The magazine moving up and down due to impact will have no effect on the firing pin or hammer or slide.)
