Oh how I would love to one day walk into a fetish club where people were dressed like this! The sad fact of fetish fashion is, it’s boring. It’s predictable. It often looks like a uniform, and not the sexy cop kind. Yes, corsets are terrific and flattering. No, they are not the only option out there.Oh, how I long for a bit more creativity, class and poise! Certainly, clothes alone can’t provide that, but they can help set the right mood as much as lighting and music can. Maybe I’m just getting older, but sophistication is awfully sexy.

I’m in agreement with you about wishing fetish fashion was less monotonous. I wonder if wearing these clothes would cause one to be denied entrance to a fetish club because they aren’t leathery and corsety and covered in buckles?

No, they just don’t want you to show up in a track suit. Sleek black clothing with a few sexy/fetishy details will get one into almost any club, in my experience.

I completely agree with you Nixxon, fetish fashion needs an overhaul. I wish more people paid attention to this wonderful website when thinking about what to wear….it’s so important to make careful choices when it comes to accessories, footwear and clothing! In many cases less is more (no pun intended).

I’m a big fan of fetish clothing, I’m glad to see the latex fashions getting a bit more complex and almost wearable in the daytime world. But I’d like to see something more sleek and seductive. I’m tired of seeing people look like they went to the Hottopic Version of a fetish store for clothing….everything is the same, alot of it is either cheap or grossly overpriced.

Etsy sellers are the best for awesome fetish fashions! Pricey… but much better designs and construction than that $20 PVC dress off eBay…
(I wasn’t aware Hot Topic even pretended to do fetish fashions anymore… it was all colourful the last time I walked past it. Well, ran – away from RPattz gazing at me moodily from the front display.)

I agree with nineveh, it is often the clubs themselves that have a problem with what constitutes as ‘fetish clothing’. Torture Garden denied me access for wearing haute couture, whilst the next woman was allowed in because she is nothing more than a thong. Seeing this happening to quite a few other regular fetishists, I no longer bother to dress up anymore.
