My husband and I have been married almost 5 years now and I STILL do not wear a wedding ring. Every morning I log onto your site and trawl through beautiful nuggets of ‘haute’ and ‘macabre’ that you so carefully select for us, hoping that my eye will fall on that special ‘shiny’ that should be MINE. Today. I found it! When I saw that wonder that is the Sparrow Claw ring I knew that I would never be the same without it…. The tiny little sparrow claws, while simultaneously so delicate and intricately intertwined immediately reminded me of the more aggressive mating ritual of the bald eagle in which the pairs lock talons together at high altitudes and then tumble somersaulting towards the ground, finally breaking apart at the last minute. For me, this is the ultimate metaphor of love and marriage.
Now, I could go on and on of course about the significance of the onyx etc…but I think I have said enough. Thank you for making such a beautiful piece of jewelry. <3

WOW! That ring is divine in every way possible. I just found out my name “Merle” means Raven or in old English “Corbie” which means Watcher or All Seeing. one of the most beautiful rings I ever saw, more than just a sparrow inspiration, it gives me the sense of cramped fingers, holding a very precious stone, like if the sparrow would have left his claws without letting go it’s prey…

My jewelry is all sterling with small hints of black onyx, and I wear a lot of it – I don’t feel naked without my clothes but I do without my jewelry. And I miss my rings (they all need re-sizing; my hands have shrunken so they fly off when I move) so a new one would be especially welcome.

Bloodmilk’s work has inspired me so much that I registered for a lost wax casting class. This ring is one of my favorite pieces. She is truly an artist.

holy smokey quartz! your work continues to be an inspiration – I wear the necklaces I have almost daily, and always while I work in the studio. they have become my talismen, warding off the evil while keeping the necessary darkness safe inside me. my hands go to them for comfort and focus, the bear claw migrates to my mouth during pensive moments, the chains slowly wear marks and grooves around my neck as i pull on them in the midst of my next artistic apocalypse. why do I fiddle with them so? perhaps my hands sense the unfairness of imbalance – why should the neck get all the fun? this ring would be worn on my creation hand, serving as a target for mystical surges of inspiration, focusing that energy before sending it rushing from my fingertips.
