Chantilly Lace

Perfect, delicate, and totally decadent bits of nothing. Now I want to go lingerie shopping.

  1. @Charlotte

It was the phrasing I was rejecting, not the opinion. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course. I prefer to champion the positive without comparisons.

  2. Gorgeous pieces on the most gorgeous girls I’ve seen yet! Wish I had some of those curves!

Speaking as a slender person myself, alas, no matter how much I eat, I just get sick or look like I’m 4 months pregnant. Well done! :)

  3. Oh, I’m in agreement Sally. I don’t think there’s anything intrinsically wrong with thin models, I just don’t think they’re right for modeling lingerie. It’s an aesthetic judgment.

Personally, I’ve been thin enough to warrant rumors of anorexia or drug use, or to have rude comments about my small chest size or flat ass thrown at my face under a guise of unsolicited “health advice”. So yes, I know how hurtful some comments can be.

I still think lingerie models should have curves. I mean, isn’t that what lingerie is supposed to be accentuating? Isn’t that the point?

  4. I also appreciate the body types featured in this shoot and the fact that it’s just gorgeous in general. The styling is top-notch, especially photos 3 & 4. However, I’m saddened to see the usual litany of “real women” comments and degradation of those lacking “curves”. Can we manage to applaud one type of beauty without putting another kind down?

  5. At a recent lingerie fashion show in Dallas, the girls I saw modeling were your typical 14-yr-old-body types. The only model I saw who looked like a woman rather than a girl, still looked more appropriate for a fitness model, rather than lingerie. The sad, saggy, unfilled fabric on those girls could not compete with this.

  6. @jenni Amen, sister, finally some women who don’t make me want to put them on an IV or hypnotise them into eating a sammich. Just a thought though, HC gods, perhaps some of these shots a little NSFW when not hidden behind a jump? Simply considering those people who are forced to access the Internet under draconian nipplephobic content rules and sneak glimpses of their haute goth fix at work rather than revelling in the sheer indulgence of browsing HC all day and getting paid for that, which I’m sure we’d all like as our job in an ideal world. I’d hate for anyone to get a telling off for scrolling over pictures that are quite excitatory, so to speak.

  7. God, it is SO nice to see women with curves. I’m drooling over the boots and I can’t pay attention to the lingerie because I’m in love with seeing HIPS and THIGHS. I only wish that more shoots could feature women that don’t have eating disorders.

  8. Lingerie looks so much nicer on womanly bodies, like these!
I must have the lace tights in the last photo!
