Ornaments of Gold

Shot by Emma Summerton for Vogue Beauty
Just when you think reading Nietzsche and writing bad poetry were a thing of the past, Vogue Italia mines the 80′s Goth scene yet again. Black lipstick and credit-card blush, Siouxie shirts and leather jackets, bizarreĀ eyebrows and blue fingernail polish . It’s like high school all over again!

I adore that chunky bullet necklace, but I think I like this one even better:

I like it! She actually reminds me just a tiny bit of Gia Carangi.

Yes! I have one of her necklaces (this one : http://www.etsy.com/transaction/31616221 as a matter of fact) and they are insanely gorgeous. And such a friendly, helpful lady – she lengthened the chain for me at no extra cost! I cannot recommend her wonderful things highly enough.

I thought it was widely accepted on this site that goth style wasn’t just a phase. HAHA.
Oh, God, I apologise.
But seriously, just look at kids today – even the “mainstream” ones are borrowing heavily from gothic/punk style. Unfortunately, I wish they did it better, but I suppose you just have to hope they grow out of the mall goth/cheap black lace look as soon as possible…

The great Marc Bolan photo-tank got my admiration.
It is a fact universally acknowledge, that people who are dressed with an eye to beauty and style, never ever commit anti-social actions.

I dig! Reminds me of the goth kids I used to hang out with, on their most majestic nights.

The first photo reminds me very much of Vladimir Tretchikoff’s “Chinese Girl”. So beautiful.
And I agree that the crystal bullet necklace is unbeatable. I think it’s the contrast between the stark reality of the bullet cases and the near-ethereal quality of the quartz that makes it unique.

i want everything she has on in the first pic & i thought the t-shirt in the 2nd photo was Siouxsie, i know Marc Bolan wore makeup but not THAT much makeup, i could be wrong :/

Any idea where to get the shirt she is wearing in the second photo?

@ Lauren- no clue. There’s someone on Etsy making shirts with the same photo, but not at nearly that size: http://www.etsy.com/listing/43732924/siouxsie-sioux-retro-punk-t-shirt.

@ ffiend- Now that you mention it, I see the Marc Bolan resemblance. But that’s def. Siouxie. Here’s a full version of the photo: http://www.realdarkdream.com/gothmusic/immagini/siouxsie04.jpg
