Of course, once I get to thinking about spats, there is really nothing to do but go looking at spats…

I did a tutorial for Threadbanger a while back showing how to make your own custom spats… thought your readers might find it useful:

I’m trying to get a knee high spat which kinda has a latex/pvc feel to it. (Hopefully pvc cause I’m not totally comfortable handling latex) I know Vex Clothing makes gorgeous latex spats… and they do look lovely with a more or less okay pricing… however, not pvc… sigh….

I’m just glad to see coverage of spats. When I was in 4th grade, I remember having a class exercise during which we all had to name things that are worn on the feet. Kids said sneakers, socks, etc. I said “spats” and not even the teacher had ever heard of them. So I sat there getting ridiculed and feeling like a strange outsider. Anyway, glad to find other people like me… who have heard of spats.

It’s superb what social media can do for your small business-blogging, like you mentioned, helps generate new content for searches AND keeps folks interesting in coming again for more.
