Back to Black

Back to Black, shot by Idris + Tony for 2 Magazine
Lots of interesting feminine details in a men’s editorial- nothing too over the top- just enough to soften the look a little. I’m especially into the lace gloves, but the collar on the top jacket is pretty brilliant, as well. I wish there was a better shot of what’s going on with the suspenders in the bottom shot- I think they are integrated into the shirt, allowing them hang down loose past the belt line in a way that is subtly suggestive of a garter belt.
I’ll have to do some research and figure out exactly where one finds lace gloves in men’s sizes.

I find the suspenders to be very sexy.
The look of effeminate men that was so present in the 80′s seems to be making quite a comeback and these clothes are fabulous in that respect.
I love the look of the almost perfectly fitted jacket with the upturned collar in the second shot. So clean, yet edgy.

the suspenders are sewn onto that top and the bottom bit hangs off onto the trousers. You can see how the strap follows the folds of the shirt..but hangs loose on the trousers.

dig the lace gloves on him.
suspenders, functional or otherwise, a no-brainer.

& i never thought about it but agree that they should make lace gloves in men’s sizes but they guy would have to be wearing all black, those grey trousers in the 3rd pic is throwing me off a little bit

Third and fourth are wonderful, despite the model resembling Edward Cullen. I’m loving the cut on that overcoat, and the suspender shirt is to kill for.
