New in the Shop : The Official Haute Macabre RockLove Jewelry Line
Haute Macabre is excited to launch our first accessory and collaboration line with RockLove Jewelry!
The official Haute Macabre RockLove jewelry line is a collection of sterling silver inverted crosses in three different styles. Each piece is hand made per order by Allison Hourcade.
Strung on a gunmetal 35 inch sterling silver square chain, a shiny silver sterling spike accents one end with signature Haute Macabre inverted cross on the other. Cross is solid sterling original 1.5″ in length.
Inverted Cross & Chain Earrings
Elegant and edgy, the solid signature Haute Macabre inverted cross hangs from gunmetal sterling square chain with a second dangle accented by a sterling spike drop. Hangs from RockLove’s sterling silver earwires, overall a dramatic 3 inches.
The shorter alternative to the Cross & Chain Earrings. The inverted cross hangs directly from RockLove’s sterling silver earwires. The cross spans 1.25″ with an overall length of a little under two inches.

If only they weren’t silver… I’m allergic

They are absolutely stunning. I do wish they didn’t use the inverted cross though. I know it’s the Haute Macabre design… but um, to the people who don’t know HM.. it has a rather more common known association… *cough* I might cave in and get the necklace though…

Typically people aren’t allergic to silver but the mystery meat IN sterling silver. It’s stamped 925 which means 92.5% silver + 7.5% something else to make it hard enough to be jewelry. I have a severe allergy myself to nickle (the material most people have the reaction to) so I cast my own alloy called “artisan sterling silver” or “fine sterling silver” – it means 92.5% silver + 7.5% high quality refined copper. It’s is slightly more expensive but doesn’t turn your skin black, doesn’t tarnish as fast, and doesn’t give you an itchy red allergic reaction
That way I don’t look like a leper spending every day working with it, and you don’t turn itchy wearing it.
I have a 100% allergic reaction refund policy just in case – but so far have had ZERO returns ever

A bit of Christian history nerd’dom:
The Petrine Cross, or “Cross of St. Peter” is upside down because he was crucified upside down during his martyrdom. It was modern day cinema that made the inverted cross seem demonic with movies like Rosemary’s Baby and the Exorcist. In fact there was big confusion at one point when they showed images on the Internet of the Pope with an upside down cross (Google it!)… if anyone get’s the wrong impression of your necklace, you just get to educated them on historical doctrine *wink*
