   I second the matte black question. I haven’t seen a manicure that excited me so much in ages – beautiful!

   Matte black = Illamasqua’s Scorn, has what they call a “latex” finish, it’s matte but not *quite* as matte as the one in the photo. Drawback is that you can’t use a top coat so you do need to use their own base coat for more even application and less chipping, at least in my experience.

   Otherwise, any black + Essie’s Matte about You top coat, or any other matte top coat would do the trick.
