The Sequel picks up where Conjoined 1 left off last year at this time. More classic sculptures, Life like models, Surreal assemblages, mixed media paintings, life sized toys and other conjoined works in 3-D. From the twisted and bizarre to the majestic and unbelievable there will be many unusual works!

Curated by painted monster maestro, Chet Zar, last year’s launch saw record attendance, numerous dropped jaws and abundant late-night lingerers, such was the entrancing power of the works displayed. Previews of art to be featured in Conjoined 2 have begun to surface on the Copro website to a similar effect:

One of my favorite artists, Charmaine Olivia, is presenting a new piece this Saturday night at The Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.  I haven’t seen any of paintings in person, yet, but have been buying up her silhouettes to decorate my new home.

New York City & Los Angeles Lomography will be hosting Fashion’s Night Out events on Thursday, September 8.

New York designers Rebecca Turbow, Samantha Pleet, Hayden-Harnett, and Janet Kim of Graey were all given Lomography cameras and film to highlight their upcoming collections through photographic storyboards.  The final products and original pieces will be highlighted live at Fashion’s Night Out at the Gramercy Lomography Store, from 7PM – 10PM, Thursday September 8.
