However, the time between the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter shows is actually my favorite, as spring is the time of Alternative Fashion Week. Occurring on both sides of the Pond, these events give up-and-coming designers a chance to strut their stuff, and everyone else a chance to buy it before these guys go big time.

Toronto: April 9-11, Toronto Alternative Arts and Fashion Week showcases over 200 visual artists, fashion designers, musician, and performers.

London , April 21-25: Alternative Arts’ Alternative Fashion Week. Admission is free, and sixty up-and-coming designers will be showcasing their collections. It also includes a fashion marketplace where clothes, textiles, and accessories will be available.
