I too, love Ray Caesar and noticed immediately the similarity of the first photo. This photographer is amazing in his own right. I would like to think the first photo is an homage of sorts? As always, I am inspired and gratified by your postings!
Really lovely work. I seem to remember Ray Caesar saying somewhere online that someone was taking inspiration from his work without credit. I wonder if it was this photographer or a different one. I seem to remember one like the upside down bat girl as well as an outdoor brighter one.
Yes it’s similar to the painting by Ray Ceasar, but the clothes were what had come out that season (I believe that’s a luella mask from fw 08), this photographer is able to catch the subtle cues the clothes are giving and make them sing.
Also? AMAZING lingerie photographer, I am completely inspired and jealous of his work with women in undies.
Its certainly not the first time photography has been inspired by works of art, I am just glad that others saw the clear echo of Ray Caesar’s works, he’s been one of my favourites for many years. His work is sublime, I hope some day to own one of his pieces to go on my walls.
So I’m not the only one to notice then. Homage should be paid for such work, no? Some kind of citation for something so unique? Without Caesar’s original work there would certainly have not been photographic re-workings. Maybe Caesar knows all about it and gave the OK.

The top two photos from this page are in fact
direct “rip-offs” of an amazing artist’s work…

Some of these images also bring to mind the photography of Irina Ionesco.
Are those tattoos on the legs of the model in the first couple images? I wish there were a closer view, they look gorgeous!

I’m drooling.

Mmmm… great photography but I couldn’t help noticing the similarities between the first image you posted and this one by Ray Caesar –

I just leaves me wondering if it’s a simple rip-off, tribute or even a paid job from Ray. What do you think?
