Use candles for your spell work, offerings, and setting intention. Candle magic is a simple and effective magical method, with different colors corresponding to different energies and outcomes.

Candle Color Meanings

Black

Used for uncrossing, banishing, block busting, and cord cutting. Can also send or repel evil, hexes, jinxes, or curses, depending on intention. Correspondent to Hekate and Saturn/Cronos.

Blue

For peace and tranquility, especially in home blessings, and expansion work. Correspondent to Jupiter/Zeus.

Brown

For earth magic, neutrality, court cases, and finding lost objects.

Gold

For great fortune, fast luck, attraction, and money. Pair with blue candles as offerings to Jupiter or Juno/Fortuna. Correspondent to the Sun.

Green

For money, prosperity, abundance, and drawing in cash owed to you. Correspondent to Venus/Aphrodite.

Orange

Opens roads and brings about change. Pair with gold and green in road-opener workings. Correspondent to Mercury/Hermes.

Pink

For romance, optimism, generosity, attraction, and affection.

Purple

For psychic work, visions, psychic protection, invisibility, and sovereignty. Used in High John the Conqueror rituals for command, control, and leadership.

Red

For passion, lust, sex, and vitality. Used in petitions to Saint Expedite and correspondent to Mars/Ares.

Silver

Represents the goddess and stability; used to remove and neutralize evil. Correspondent to the Moon/Selene.

White

For purity, peace, harmony, and balance. Can substitute for any other candle color.

Yellow

For intellect, imagination, memory, and communication. Correspondent to Mercury.
